Malicious Ads Infect Prominent Websites

High-traffic websites, such as msn.com, nytimes.com, nfl.com, realtor.com, and newsweek.com recently became compromised by a malicious ad campaign that infects users’ computers with malware, including crypto ransomware.

Countless numbers of people may have already been affected by this latest exploit. The campaign’s creators employed the Angler Exploit Kit, hacking software that searches for Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight vulnerabilities and uses them to distribute malware infections.

This illustrates the importance of installing updates as soon as possible for safe browsing on your computer.
